Dental Hygienist Appointments
Visiting the dentist is important to ensure your teeth and gums stay health but it is just as important to see a Hygienist for regular cleaning and to decrease chances of oral health diseases.
Did you know gum disease such as gingivitis and periodontitis are the main causes of tooth loss compared to decay. It can also cause pain, bad breathe and receding gums. Gum disease can be treated and even better, prevented. This is an important reason to clean your teeth and gums thoroughly. A visit to the hygienist means cleaning that tartar that has built up over time on your teeth as well as cleaning under the gum line, which you can reach with your cleaning aids.
When you visit our Hygienist at Warwick Lodge Dental, your teeth and gums will professionally be cleaned. We will also ensure you leave with plenty of tips on how to maintain that healthy smile with cleaning aids at home.
Just like brushing your teeth twice a day, you also need to give the “in-between bits” a good clean every day, that’s where the build-up of plaque starts. The plaque over time develops and hardens which is turned to tartar, this eventually attracts other bacteria which can cause problems.
For a lot of people it is help understanding the correct brushing techniques to brush effectively. As well as identifying which interdental aid is best for you, from Tepe’s, Glides, and Floss. They will show you the best techniques to use, as reinforce these to you at every visit. It is important to us at Warwick Lodge Dental that we help you maintain that smile, and therefore make your smile last longer.
