Between 13th May and 13th June staff at Warwick Lodge Dental and Implant Centre would normally be wearing the smiley badges and posing all together for our ‘smiley selfies’ . However this year is slightly different. We cannot be in work, so as National Smile Month is here again! our celebrations and advice is here!
Yes, National Smile Month is here again!
The National Smile Month campaign, which is in its 40th year, is run by the Oral Health Foundation. It continues doing great work around the UK and worldwide promoting good oral health!
With so many known links to other serious health problems, such as heart and liver disease, diabetes and strokes, the awareness raised is no less important now than it was when it first started.
“A smile is the beginning of peace.”
– Mother Teresa
What is national smile month?
National Smile Month really focuses on encouraging preventative care to ensure your mouth is as healthy as possible. As the old saying goes, ‘prevention is better than cure’ and that is certainly everyone’s preference when dentistry is involved.
Therefore, National Smile Month’s key messages remain the same:
- Brush your teeth last thing at night and on at least one other occasion with a fluoride toothpaste.
- Cut down on how often you have sugary foods and drinks.
- Visit your dentist regularly, as often as they recommend.
Do you like your smile?
Do you like your smile? If not, why not? How can we help you improve your smile? Do you know the best way to take care of your smile?
Many people have a fear of the dentist. At Warwick Lodge Dental and Implant Centre specialise in nervous patients and just want to help you get the treatment you want. We just want you to smile better, wider and more often!
